FCS offers free, weekly COVID-19 testing to students and staff

In an effort to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community, Frayser Community Schools is providing students and staff with more opportunities to know their statuses.

Beginning Thursday, FCS will provide weekly, voluntary COVID-19 testing opportunities.

FCS students and staff can get a COVID-19 test for no cost at their respective schools.

Poplar Healthcare will come to all schools beginning at 9 a.m. to begin testing. Results will be emailed back in 24 to 48 hours.

If a positive COVID-19 test is returned, the individual will be required to isolate for five days in compliance with CDC standards.

If there is a positive test, the CDC also encourages the individual to retest for a negative result before returning to everyday activities.

Poplar Healthcare will begin testing Thursday at each school.
