The Department of Communications and Engagement focuses on the internal and external communications for FCS. Additionally, the department handles all special programs and community partnerships.

Communication
We understand the importance of communicating with our stakeholders. To ensure effective communication, we use a variety of mediums to reach staff, families, and community partners. All FCS Communications are handled by the Office of Communications and Engagement.
For Media Inquiries
The CEO and the Chief of Communications and External Affairs are the official spokespersons for Frayser Community Schools. All requests from print/broadcast or digital media should be directed to Communication Services.
Staff members should not contact media or respond to media without the approval of the Chief of Communications and External Affairs.

Guidelines for media partners:
- In order to help us process your interview requests efficiently, please provide us with adequate details about the information you are hoping to ascertain.
- Media need to obtain clearance from our office prior to arriving on any school campus.
- Media must check in at the front office immediately upon arriving on campus.
Engagement
Our work is guided by the belief that we make better decisions when they are made with, and not for, those who are affected by the decisions. We also know that engaged families and communities create stronger schools and student outcomes.
Our team aims to design engagement opportunities that are relational, culturally proficient and inclusive of the diverse students, families, community members, staff and partner organizations that make up the FCS community.
